Well Jack started standing up this week. He started in the playpen and has now completely got the hang of it. Pulling up on shelves, couches, chairs, toys, the coffee table, ect. He is taking a step or two along the furniture, so it won't be long now before he is taking his first steps. He also has finally cut one of those top front teeth. I am glad, the vampire look was cute, but I am glad to see a more toothy smile. :-)
As I was typing I looked over to a busy Jack who stopped everything as Skippy (our dog) walked by and Jack pulled up into a standing position holding on to poor skippy. It was quite cute skippy half turned and jack held on still standing until skippy started licking jack and he fell down. I was sure if Jack was angry about falling or being licked by the dog.

Jack's First Christmas

The challenge is on....
So my goal is to catch up to the "Old Man" in a reasonable amount of time. I think this may keep him blogging more since it seems to be in the blood to be competitive. For the record I am keeping up two blogs. :-P
Jack has been so spoiled this Christmas, in addition to all the wonderful gifts he was given, I believe he was held for 2 days straight. Reality kicked in when it was just me and the kids all day again!
Jack never did quite get the hang of opening presents. He would crawl over grab the bow and than was satisified with him self. At this age all they would be happy with just getting the box.

NO!
Today for the first time Jack has shown that he knows what "NO" means. My little guy LOVES cords and electrical outlets. As a parent it is very frustrating. We have the house more than "baby proof" do to Hennipen County Licensing requirements for home daycare. However Jack will find the one spot I don't want him to be. Today when he went after a cord Charlie said "Jack NO" and Jack dropped the cord scooted away and cried. Anyhow it feels like a small victory for the parents today!

Jack Attack
Well it's about time that I post again. I vow to keep my 2 blogs for the kids better up to date than Bad Andy's!
Well Jack is trying to figure out how to stand up. He straightens his legs out from a crawling position but hasn't figured out how to stand up quite yet. That's OK, he can take his time, he is doing this growing up thing way too fast! He still has his silly smile! It has become so much apart of his personality right now.
The little guy seems to be fighting off a bit of a cold right now, but this time of the year brings little colds! Jack is a trooper and is acting just like his everyday self despite an elevated temp, runny nose and such.
Jack has discovered Abby's room. He loves it in there! Abby does not love him in there. He scoots right over to her book shelf and off goes every book he can reach right on top of him self! He can quietly and quickly motor in there and he is fussing because he has entrapped him self before I have even had a chance to notice he has moved. What a rascal.
